Behavior Technician (Part-Time/Full-Time)

About the Role: 

At Neuroconnections, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based ABA services to children and young adults with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our growing clinical team. Behavior Technicians work directly with children and adolescents in home, school, and community settings to support communication, social, play, behavioral, and self-help skill development through engaging and individualized interventions. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in psychology, education, behavioral health, child development, or special education.

Job Title: Behavior Technician
Employment Type: Part-Time, At-Will Employment

Compensation: $19–$25 per hour

Locations Served:

• Santa Cruz County

• Monterey County

• San Benito County

• Merced County

​

Services are primarily provided in clients’ homes, schools, and community environments. Limited remote hours may be available for telehealth-recommended clients.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one behavioral intervention services to children and young adults with developmental disabilities

• Implement individualized treatment programs developed by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

• Support clients in developing communication, social, play, adaptive, and behavioral skills

• Collect session data accurately and complete daily session notes

• Collaborate with supervising clinicians and caregivers

• Use play-based and naturalistic teaching strategies throughout sessions

• Support children in both home and community settings

 

Qualifications: 

Required

• Must be 18 years or older

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to pass DOJ and FBI background checks

• Reliable transportation to and from client sessions

• Comfortable engaging in active play and movement with children

• Ability to perform occasional light lifting

• Authorized to work in the United States

 

Preferred

• Experience working with children with special needs

• Interest in behavioral health, psychology, education, or ABA therapy

• Positive, patient, and energetic attitude
